ABOUT TRC-NJ

Mission & Vision: The Transgender Rights Coalition of New Jersey (TRC-NJ) champions equity, well-being, and safety for our transgender and gender diverse communities across the state. TRC-NJ is a passionate, inclusive, and supportive coalition working together to establish and maintain equity for transgender people across New Jersey. Through strategic campaigns, education initiatives, and advocacy for foundational legal protections, we seek to support and uplift our transgender community. We remain inspired by the sacrifices of generations of LGBTQIA+ people. Their principles guide us to advance, working collaboratively as a community of gender diverse people and allies towards safety and equity for our transgender family, friends, and neighbors.

This coalition includes individuals and organizations committed to a broad range of progressive issues with intersectional impact on the transgender and nonbinary community, including but not limited to: community-based organizations, nonprofits, health and social service providers, faith-based advocacy groups, parent-led organizations, and informal collectives.
